The groans of the No Life Queen still echo across the air as she stumble around the dead zone completely angry at Maricul and at herself for underestimating the woman power. The wounds she took in the battle still harming her even though she took out the bullets that got pass her chain mail. She leaned up against a building wall in a dark alley and slid down to a sit, holding a hand where the pain was trying to relax and heal. “How... how was I defeated like that? I... I had her! I had her beat!”

Suddenly a strange new wind blew across the alley as a woman with blue eyes that had a dash of a green glow to them appeared before the vampire leaning up against the building wall in the alley. “Whining about losing will get you nowhere Ivory. Who did this to you?” she asked in a tone of concern toward the other woman. Why? Because years after her parents known death she felt pity for this woman and for her own reasons adopted her and treated her like her own ever since. She walked next to her and knelled down by her. “Or more importantly, where does it hurt?”

“Can’t you just read my thoughts and know who did it?” she asked in a vex tone. Her pride wouldn’t even allow her to speak the name that manage to bested her in combat, let alone tell her where the pain was mostly coming from. “I’ll— I’ll be fine I could’ve continue that battle if I wanted to I just didn’t feel like losing any more body parts in result of it.”

“I rather hear it from you, and stop being so proud. You’re obviously hurt and I’m trying to help you here. So shallow your pride and answer my questions!” she demanded. Moving her hand to turn her head and make her look her in the eyes. Why did she have to be so thick headed at times? Was this a father or a mother trait?

“Maricul, a vampire my father created. I had her beat, I was sure of it, then she pulled up something called the Witch Within on me and that when everything turned around. It hurts here,” she said pointing to her torso where most of the bullets went into. “I don’t know what type of weapon she summoned during the fight but it hurt like hell when she shot me with them.”

“A witch then? To gain power through mother nature only to gain more power from immorality.” She couldn’t help but think of the stake and fire whenever she thought of witches, as she suffer their same fate for reasons she didn’t feel like really thinking about, but they came to her mind anyway. Najo trail a finger down her torso halting it when she came to the spot where the pain was. “Very well I’ll get revenge for you, momma is going to make everything ok,” she said leaning down and kissing where the pain was. “Does that help?”

Ivory just raised a eyebrow and scooted away from Najo. “What’s with the strange humane mother love? It doesn’t suit you.” Ivory tried to stand up but her body didn’t feel like it. Just she sat there looking up to Najo. “I need blood...”

“Of course, I thought you would enjoy the attention.” Najo held up her arm and took out her double edge blade. Cutting her wrist lightly as a fair amount of blood fell down her wrist and toward the mouth of the vampire. “This should be enough of a power boost.”
